Learn biology with Eric Hovind

If you want to learn biology, I suggest you take this course taught by Eric Hovind. It's a good illustration of the importance of MOOCs and how they are eventually going to replace professors at universities.

Dear Quest

May I tentatively suggest some assistance with improving your comment on this blog.

Firstly I suggest a short course in the English language. This is the common language on the site, and so a working knowledge of its more basic elements would improve your style, and perhaps engage your readers for longer.

Second, perhaps an anger management course to calm your fevered brow and lend an air of reason to your writing rather than the ranting style you seem to have adopted.

Finally, and this might prove the most challenging for you, I suggest a junior school science course. This should introduce you to a whole new world of knowledge that you appear to be missing, and also help you to follow some of the words that most contributors tend to use in discussions of science.

Good luck with these

I'm thinking that Mr. Hovind "borrowed" some video from a how to prepare heroin presentation.

Learning biology from a biblical literalist is like getting child rearing tips from the Catholic church.

Honestly, this video just sounds and looks like a parody that someone made! xD

I had to laugh out loud several times. The point where the speaker says it "will engage children" and the kid on front row is yawning was absolutely hilarious!

Hi Quest. Or should we call you Eric Hovind?

At the very moment that the narrator says Hovind will "present the body systems" to young students, he bends over and shows his ass. Pretty smooth there, "veteran teacher."

His ministry (used to) make a million dollars a year. He can't buy a suit that fits?

What'd he spend all his daddy's ill-gotten wealth on? Is the white chemical melting in the spoon a hint?

"how to prepare heroin presentation"

Yup that was a dead give away.

Finally, someone has examined and condensed the results from decades of biological research by separating the true conclusions from the untrue conclusions. It fills an important void for adult christians and some children under age ten..

He's just displaying his source of scientific knowledge for the students.

I lost my coffee at the part where he dumps onto the spoon what looks like a big lump of sugar, then flicks it off with his finger.

The production quality of that video could only be called, um, "creative!"

I feel like watching this just for the giggles.

Yeh, its why I have a crazy desire to watch the series now. That's the problem with these videos really, for people that are read in evolution its amusing. However, for people with no background its the basis for a serious backwards educational step.

Does this actually support the idea that there is a "creationist gene" and that it can be transmitted vertically? I assume that Eric and his parents are both homozygous for this condition.

Does anyone know if Eric's dad, Kent Hovind, is still in a Florida jail for tax evasion?

Holy crap did she say Eric is a "veteran teacher"? I can't stop laughing. This guy doesn't even have a real high school education and has NEVER taken a science class in his life. Oh man I love it.
